Family Centers often offer groups for parents of infants and young children.
Some family centers offer "free stores" (used baby items donated by the community)
and connect families to services like fuel assistance and WIC:
It Takes a Village - parents' groups, "the Village Closet" (massive free store), postpartum home visits from trained volunteers & more!

Your local library may present a story hour, host music classes for kids or just be a great place to hang out. Some public and private schools offer playgroups for very young children. For folks in West County, there is one at Buckland Shelburne Elementary School.
See FEEDING YOUR BABY - lactation support groups are opportunities for new parents to gather, learn and connect.
